Goal Setting
“Goal Setting"
a) Always write your goals.
b) Give separate sheet to every goal.
c) Avoid doing those tasks, which are not relevant to your goals.
d) Review your goals at least twice a day.
e) If striving for your goal is not fun change it immediately.
f) Always have your goals before your eyes. So why not paste it everywhere. On the bedside, on the table… Begin every day with the end of the month/year in mind (goals).

MAKE CARBON COPIES
The work of a leader is to make his carbon copies.
The work of the leader is to create his carbon copies. Rightly said in the context, as the easiest way to grow up the ladder is by making people working under you grow. Keep working upon teaching and mentoring people that they get prepared for the next position. As they are ready that means you are no more required there, so you can move up the ladder or take upon another assignments along with your present one. For this a leader had to set in example in such a fashion as to give way for others to follow. For that you have to be one whom people will love to follow or replicate. Once you have prepared your successor, you can move on to higher things in the corporate ladder. Keep looking for opportunities to teach the people working for you to do things better, become perfect in the present role and prepare for the next position. For this:
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
- Understand the roles for the position that you aspire to be
- Work towards them to and get the required exposure/training required to get there.
- Look for opportunities wherein you can prove that you are ready for the next position.
- Once you get an opportunity, ensure you do it better than anyone else(Something which cannot be done better)
- Keep doing it till you succeed.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO FOR OTHERS
- Mentor your team and teach them the ground rules well.
- Give them opportunities to prove their caliber on specific tasks which will lead them to higher place.
- Prepare them to be your successor, so that they are ready to be your successor if you take upon a higher role or take upon a additional responsibility/assignment in addition to the existing one.
SO BE A PHOTOCOPIER MACHINE, MAKE CARBON COPIES OF YOURS. AND GROW.

Collection/Recoveries: FOCUS IS THE KEY
The word on which we have to get going is “FOCUS”
Follow-up and portfolio analysis are the two keywords for success in collection.
The three steps which go clearly in for the success of collections are:
Understanding of the Portfolio.
Analyzing the trend.
Get the facts about how to go about in your portfolio
Plan Accordingly
Divide your targets into MILESTONES.
See that the Milestones are achieved.
TARGETS would be achieved automatically.
Settings of milestones are important for the following reasons:
o They ensure that you are at the right track.
o They ensure the right pace.
o If in case we are wrong in the track/pace we can correct the same at the first milestone itself.
o Strategies could be changed/mended the first time they are wrong and fire-fighting is easy at the beginning stage rather than at the end stage, where things go beyond our control as we are not left with enough time.
o Shows consistency in the performance as you don’t tend to be looked as a one-day/one-week wonder.
o It gives you to time/opportunity to understand your strengths and weakness which in turn helps to strengthens the strength and work on the areas that we are weak at.
o Gives you opportunity to check periodically of the time or the phase we tend to become slow at.
Now let’s decide the targets and see that we are at the right nos. Let our competition be with ourselves than with others.
Keep your mind open to find new ways of doing things faster and with the same efficiency. Even if you lose in the event, you will know one another way of doing the thing.

I P D E management Technique
I P D E management Technique:
IPDE techniques are rightly used for driving vehicles. The Full form of IPDE lies in a management principle:
I IDENTIFY
P PREDICT
D DECIDE
E EXECUTE
As on the road while driving a vehicle, we IDENTIFY the road or route we need to follow. PREDICT the obstructions or the behavior of the person driving in front.
DECIDE upon to overtake or keep track. And EXECUTE what you have decided is best for you.
Similarly in life all problems issues can be sorted out in the same fashion.
Firstly IDENTIFY the exact problem
Then PREDICT worst case scenario according to what you think and the possible solutions to it
Out of the options chosen, DECIDE which solution to take
EXECUTE the best outcome meticulously.
If you can deal in with the worst case scenario, anything better than this is your buffer as you have prepared for the best. And nothing could worse than worst.

under-estimate at your own risk
This story of mine relates to the time when I was young fascinated to sit in a train.
It so happened that I was travelling from Delhi to Kerala. I had mild thoughts about diffrentiating person with religion, language etc. After around five hours of journey from Delhi, there came in a Sardarji to accompany us to our detination. When enquired he told that he was travelling till Trivandrum the last destination of the train. He told that he was going to Kerala as he found this place beautiful.
All the time he was talking in Hindi and sometimes in Punjabi. I had big doubts about he knowing the least about my mother tongue-Malayalam. All the while, when I have to talk to my parents and the person travelling with me who again was a malayali, we spoke in malayalam. Sometimes we made fun of his appearance and sometimes of his turban and attire.
Finally after three days of travel, we reached Kerala. We took leave from each other.
While bidding me GOOD-BYE, the sardarji called me near and said lovingly"ennikyum Malayalam Ariyaam Kutti" meaning "I also understand Malayalam". I was too ashamed to face him and say a word. First time in life that I felt so shameful upon doing something. All the while he sat there listening to my rebuke and not said a word.
it taught me the important lesson which I follow till today:"DO NOT UNDER-ESTIMATE ANYONE;IF YOU DO,DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK ". but remember that you would not get a loving SARDAR to teach you this important letter.
ha ha ha......ha ha ha

YOU KNEW
Long time ago in some distant village of India, fascinated by the mountains lying at the brim of the village, one young boy decided to climb the mountain and see what lies at the other side. He persistently climbed it and traveled for days. As finally that he reached the top of the top of the mountain. He was happy and felt of gush of fresh oxygen deep into his Lungs. There he saw an old wounded snake lying there about to die. As he looked forward to know what kind of snake it was, he found it was a rattle snake. The Rattle Snake seeing a human being started speaking and said:” I’m about to die; kindly take me down the mountain". But knowing that the Rattle Snake would always bite, he refused. The snake continually pleaded with him and promised not to sting him. Finally the young man believing the snake took him into the coat and brought him back into the village. And as he placed the snake down on the ground; the snake recoiled, rattled and bit him on his leg. He said:” BUT YOU PROMOSED". There came the reply from the snake:” YOU KNEW"

Who Is The Rich Man?
One day a wealthy father took his son on a trip to the country so that the son could see how the poor lived. They spent a day and a night at the farm of a very poor family. When they got back from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "Very good, Dad!" "Did you see how poor people can be?" "Yeah!" "And what did you learn?" The son answered, "I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden; they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lamps in the house; they have the stars. Our patio reaches to the front yard; they have the whole horizon." When the little boy was finished, the father was speechless. His son then added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!"

Management Fundas
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A small rabbit saw the crow, and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long? The crow answered: "Sure, why not." So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.
A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy. "Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients." The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave him enough strength to reach the first branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.
Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold, the bird froze and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realize how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him!
1. Not everyone who drops shit on you is your enemy.
2. Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
3. And when you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut!
The boy rode on the donkey and the old man walked. As they went along, they passed some people who remarked "it was a shame the old man was walking and the boy was riding". The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions. Later, they passed some people that remarked, "What a shame, he makes that little boy walk." They decided they both would walk! Soon they passed some more people who thought they were stupid to walk when they had a decent donkey to ride. So the both rode the donkey! Now they passed some people that shamed them by saying "how awful to put such a load on a poor donkey". The boy and man said they were probably right so they decided to carry the donkey. As they crossed a bridge, they lost their grip on the animal and he fell into the river and drowned.
If you try to please everyone, you will eventually lose your ass.
